The Saga of the Turtle

Hey, Bubba, this green thing is not your run-of-the-mill brightly colored,

noise-making plastic toy! Hmmm, interesting..........

Maybe you should put him back into the box, GrandPops!

If I just didn't HATE to walk on the grass, I'd go and touch that turtle!!

Joshua is having a good look, but Jacob is not too sure what that is in the box!

Dining Out!

Ho Hum! What we need is a fast food restaurant!!

Easter Morning 2010

Aren't we adorable!! We think Daddy was just being sweet to Dut Dut in letting her put ruffles onto his boys just one last time! We went to Easter church but only made it through this first song. Jacob wanted to explore and Joshua wanted to preach so we left for the nursery and had fun with the other kids!

After wards we went over to GrandPops and Dut Dut's for Easter dinner and a nap. And to have an Easter egg hunt. Joshua was really into looking for the eggs and both did really well finding them the first time, but then Jacob lost interest and began running up and down the little hill in GrandPop's back yard and playing with the Kitty Kitty. Joshua isn't too fond of touching the prickly grass and when down has awhile deciding to touch it and get back up. But we felt blessed to have them all--including Jennifer and Jason--over to celebrate Easter!

Our once in a lifetime snowfall in Mobile, AL!! Jacob loved the snow but I think Joshua is a fair weather man! GrandPops is in seventh heaven though, considering his roots.

Fun in the North Carolina Mountains!!

There was so much to do at the Park in Bryson City, NC--swings, slides, animals, old tires--but Joshua had the most fun picking up and throwing rocks and Jacob had the most fun running up and down hills. Funny how we think kids need so much to entertain them and yet they find pleasure in the simplest things!!

Joshua out to eat in Gatlinburg, TN

Jacob out to eat in Galinburg, TN.

Time for an update, I guess.

Fun at Dut Dut & GrandPops in the John Deere wagon---at least, fun for Jacob and Joshua. GrandPops gets to work!

Jeremy & family at Disney World

We were able to spend three days with Jeremy and family at Disney World and we had a wonderful time. The three days were a grueling adventure in endurance, but we made it and had a blast! What fun to watch the kids enjoy the Majic Kingdom and MGM studios.

Princess Caroline

Caroline was Princess For A Day. Holly and I had fun watching them do her hair and nails and "makeup" and put on her princess dress and shoes and give her her wand. The transformation took place in Cinderella's castle. Afterward, in princess fashion, as we passed people and they looked her way, she said, "People are staring at me because I'm a Princess!" It was such fun and she was truly a little trooper at Disney World. She walked just like the rest of us from dawn to dusk and then some!
